Bullhead City, AZ. Where is it? On the Colorado River, south of Laughlin, NV and east of Needles, CA. And why stop in Bullhead City? To visit one very special guy - my father!
Coast to Coast Spirit of TWA has been a time to connect with so many different people on so many different levels. The common thread; TWA. One of the most remarkable airlines in commercial aviation.
My father, flew TWA to Saudi Arabia after WWII. He still has pictures of the TWA Constellation. TWA was his favorite airline, TWA was different, special and exciting. His passion for TWA was the reason I decided to apply for a career as a flight attendant, then stayed for 35 years.
I was barely out of training when my parents found out they could fly on TWA around the world for $99.00. And that was only the beginning. My mother loved traveling. Both took advantage of TWA's generosity.
December 2, 1982 my parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary flying on the 767 inaugural from LAX-IAD. After a perfect landing in Washington DC my parents invited the crew to join them for cocktails. Every Year after the 767 inaugural flight Lou D'Antuono sent my mother a Christmas card. She saved everyone. She saved everything connected to TWA. 
Growing up, my father owned several small airplanes. For fun, we would fly to Disneyland or Knottsberry Farm for the day.
So many of us grew up with TWA. Galavanting around the world like most people travel to their local grocery store.
Landing at the Bullhead City airport was one more chance to share another TWA moment with one very special guy.
